(If you highlight the Gold Letters, the schedule of Sacred Events will open)
Nov. 1-9: “Now, no matter what behavior you are seeking to change, no matter what particular goal or action you are directing your efforts towards, you need to start developing a strong willingness or wish to do it.” (H.H. the Dalai Lama) Let us meditate on directing our action toward the fulfillment of our wishes.
Nov. 10-16: “As far as my own spiritual practice goes, if I encounter some obstacles or problems, I find it helpful to stand back and take a long-term view rather than the short-term view.” (H.H. the Dalai Lama) Let us meditate on taking the long-term view.
Nov. 19-23: “In our daily life experiences, tolerance and patience have great benefits. For instance, developing them will allow us to sustain and maintain our presence of mind. So if an individual possesses this capacity of tolerance and patience, then, even in spite of living in a very tense environment, which is very frantic and stressful, so long as the person has tolerance and patience, the person’s calmness and peace of mind will not be disturbed.” (H.H. the Dalai Lama) Let us meditate on our calmness and peace of mind.
Nov. 24-30: “By faith the flood is crossed, By wakefulness the sea; By vigor ill is passed; By wisdom cleansed is he. “ (Samyutta Nikaya). Let us meditate on faith, wakefulness, vigor and wisdom.
May this Sacred Season bring you all insight, joy and peace.
